Men's Ministry
As iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. - Proverbs 27:17 -
At CHFBC, we seek to equip men of all ages to be better ambassadors of the faith. We seek to provide skills for each man to live out the Christian world view in the workplace, the community, and the home. To be an ambassador means that our faith has to be visible in all that we do, and we must develop a truthful, yet attractive presentation of our life in Christ, to lead others to him.
As Men, we need to take time out of our goal-orientated schedules, and learn to network with and mentor fellow brothers in Christ. This means learning together, working together and relaxing together. To this end, we have recently covered a series on the importance of accountability groups, and upcoming topics will address the differences between conversion and discipleship, and other valuable topics.
We provide the following ways to participate:
1. Men's Breakfast: Held twice a year on a Saturday morning. Next breakfast: Saturday November 6, 2010 featuring Keith Wallace at Tom's Restaurant in Caledon East. 8 to 9:15
2. Special Summer Activities. Activities such as attending a baseball game, playing in a golf tournament (all abilities represented!) or other sporting events.
3. Men's Ministry Weekend: Attending the Promise Keepers conference in Mississauga (fall). This year's PK weekend is on November 12-13.
